The Imminent Paradigm Shift
In recent issues of the Religious Research Journal, I have presented various aspects of the upcoming “Paradigm Shift.” That’s the term I am currently using to refer to what is often identified as the Second Coming of the Christ or the “ascension of humanity into the fifth dimension” or “earth changes,” and various other names. I do not know exactly what will happen or when or how, but I have been speaking and writing about it for 15 years. I live my life in certainty that it is already begun, it will continue and be fulfilled, and it is the single most important event in human history. Whatever else it is, it will be a Paradigm shift like we’ve never seen before!
I cannot remember when I first learned of this long-planned event. I have been engaged with Religious Research for almost 40 years, and Religious Research has spoken of the Second Coming of the Christ as “imminent” – not immediate, but certain – for as long as I can remember. Small wonder that I accept the Paradigm Shift as real – for humanity and for Planet Earth! For a long time I have sought to know more about it, explore the concept from various angles, integrate different perceptions into a more informed concept.
Many people have spiritual sources that actively guide their understanding of what is unfolding before us. For some, the approaching changes are explained in the concepts of traditional religion. Others, carefully avoiding religious terminology, explain their truth in secular or scientific or esoteric language. Religious and non-religious language do not have to conflict. Using the motto “Adding Facts to Faith,” the Religious Research Foundation was started more than 50 years ago specifically to use the discipline of science to validate the beliefs of religion.
Still, not all those who study and speak out about the Paradigm Shift agree about what exactly is happening. Nor do their spiritual advisors. So what is the truth?
I generally use what Dr. John has taught us as my guide to greater clarity. I do not believe Dr. John is flawless. He himself said that mistakes would be made – both on the “downstairs team” of Religious Research as well as on the “Upstairs Team” of those who guide us in spirit. But Dr. John is the most reliable source I have, so I use his definition or description of reality as my starting point.
As one who has lived and worked multiculturalIy, it is my nature to seek to identify and emphasize human commonalities, such as shared values (family, home, community), rather than highlight the differences among people (race, language, religion). Likewise, I also seek to synthesize various perceptions about the Paradigm Shift.
Those who understand this event in religious terms – for example, as the “Second Coming of Christ” – are not necessarily at odds with those who understand it in terms of increasing vibration, or parallel universes, or the birthing of humanity into full consciousness, or the healing of Gaia - Mother Earth. Likewise, those who insist that the “coming” of the Christ is the Christ-spirit or Holy Spirit infusing each human heart are not necessarily at odds with those who believe that there will be a reappearance of the Master Jesus as the Christ, recognizable in a physical body.
Insisting that my beliefs are the one and only right answer is the basis of fundamentalism. Believe me, there are plenty of fundamentalists in the New Age scene! When we each get past insisting that my idea or terminology is the one and only right answer, then we can begin to explore ways in which information from various sources may be giving us different approaches to the same core truth.
Remember the poem about the six blind men and the elephant? Each blind man felt a different part of the elephant’s body and pronounced that the elephant is like this. The man who felt the elephant’s side said the elephant is like a wall. The one who held the elephant’s ear said the elephant is like a fan, and so on. Each perceived correctly that which he could grasp, yet none saw the whole picture.
Why? Because the elephant was incomplete? Hardly. Each “viewer” was limited in his ability to grasp more than he could directly perceive. So each spoke his truth. The whole truth of the elephant can only be understood in considering all the viewpoints offered.
Surely a paradigm shift in the reality of the entire human race is more complex than describing an elephant. It seems inevitable that there are various opinions, ideas, predictions, versions of the truth. Some are, in my opinion, more credible than others. I believe the whole truth of this event, and its impact, not just on Earth but on all of Creation, is vaster than any of us have fully grasped.
Much of what has been and is being channeled about the Paradigm Shift is based on projections or trends, as seen by those in spirit. But humans are a capricious lot, and not all trends lead where they appear to be headed. And, certainly, not all those who communicate from the other side necessarily possess perfect knowledge or understanding.
Dr. John encouraged those who came to him for advice to seek various sources of spiritual wisdom, but also to be discerning about what we choose to believe. Considering a breadth of ideas or opinions helps us in our understanding; nevertheless, we are each responsible for what we choose to accept or to set aside.
In my search for as much Truth as I can grasp, I use as a starting point Dr. John’s original presentation – information channeled decades ago (before some of the other “experts” were born) through a Presbyterian minister, and presented in the religious terminology of the Biblical prophecy of the Second Coming of the Christ. I begin here. Then I seek to synthesize other viewpoints in light of what Dr. John taught.
We have not revisited those specific teachings with you, our readers, in a long time. So in this issue of the Religious Research Journal, Helen Roberts presents what Dr. John taught – about the purpose of the evolution of humankind on Earth, and in light of that, the coming transformation of humanity. From the parable of the prodigal son to sightings of UFO’s, see her article, “Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done.”
